A lot of what I would call betrayal just...isn't.
So what is REAL betrayal?
Well - what Judas did.
"...and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him." (Mark 3:19)
He delivered You to Your enemy (Mark 14:43-46).
Delivering someone into the hands of the enemy is betrayal.
Not showing up on time or finishing something on time (or at all) - inconsiderate, disrespectful maybe, but not betrayal.
Not doing what someone said they would do..definitely letting someone down - but still not betrayal.
Unless these things end up delivering me (or someone) into the hands of our enemy - they're not real betrayal.
And I have to admit that I personally haven't experienced real betrayal. Some have, I know, but I'm not one of them. Not really.
You are.
You have experienced real betrayal.
