Small Boat Ready - Mark 3:7-12 Post 3

Small Boat Ready brokenbreadandsmallfish.com Mark 3:7-12
Was it excited? (Mark 3:9)
as it waited for You
Hoping beyond hope
that You would come and climb into
its small simple spaces

Did it fear?
...that maybe READY
wasn't enough
and You might pass it by
something else catch Your eye
or You might decide
You didn't need,
after all,
a small boat ready

Did it stand tall?
...when You paused before it
then clambered in?
did it remember
some spot it wished it had cleaned
or some flaw
it wished to hide?

Did it glide?
carefully over the water
away from the shore
happy to be Your vessel
grateful
to be useful to You

small boat ready
satisfied
fulfilled

OR

did it wish You had used something else?
