When You Ask Me to Give You My Heart - Mark 3:1-6 Post 3

Mark 3:1-6 Post 3 brokenbreadandsmallfish.com
Do I respond
When You ask me
to stretch out my hand (Mark 3:3,5)
and
look away
when You ask me
to give You my heart?

My silence speaks. (Mark 3:4)

What is it saying?

I want You to touch me -
but not too deeply

I want You to heal me
but leave me unchanged

I want the good
You are handing out
but
I don't want to follow

Don't ask me to follow
I don't want the pain

But oh!
You are angry! (Mark 3:5)
 And deeply distressed -
And the man has stretched out
his withered hands
But
I don't know how to stretch my withered heart

Oh! Quickly! somehow - while he's still waiting
Teach me to give You my heart
Help me
to give You my heart.
