What If I Ask What's on Your Heart? - Mark 2:13-14 Post 1

Chalkboard: Mark 2:13-17
You went out beside the lake.  And once again a large crowd comes to You (Mark 2:13).  What were You thinking?  What were You feeling?   I sit here, wondering what was on Your heart that day, as You walked by the lake...but will I ask You what You are thinking and feeling today?
Or am I afraid?  Afraid I might find myself face to face with You like Levi (Mark 2:14), afraid You
might say, "Follow me"?

You might.
It's dangerous to ask God what's on His heart.  Because I might find out.
I might feel some of the pain You are feeling.
I might have to weep over something I've not given much thought to before today.
I might be compelled to act on it
I might be called to follow You somewhere, to someplace I don't want to go, or in some area of my life that I would rather You left alone.
And to do it, I might have to walk away from some things in my life that I always thought defined me.

I might...
be set free.
I might be set free from worrying over things that never mattered anyway.
I might be set free to consider and talk and pray with You about things that do matter.
I might be set free to see the beauty of walking with You in the hard places.
I might be set free from the things I always thought defined me, but NEVER DID.
I might be set free to get up and leave these things that held me here, and follow You.
