What I'm Thankful For at Thanksgiving

I've had a good year.  I'm thankful for my health, which is better today than it was this time last year.  I am thankful for my immediate and extended family, for the privilege to be part of their lives.  I'm thankful for the joy and honor of living in Siberia and the deep friendships I've developed here.  I'm thankful that all of these things and people are part of my story.  But what if this year
had been filled with sorrow and pain, as years often are?  What can I thank You for this year that I could thank You for any year, no matter what my circumstances, no matter what happens?

Thank You for coming to us.

Thank You for tearing heaven open.

Thank You for allowing me to be part of the love between the Father and the Son.

Thank You for willingly entering my desert.

Thank You for coming to me because I could not come to You. Thank You that I CAN come to You, because You did.

Thank You that what You "want with us" is to set us free.

Thank You for healing me and letting me be part of what You are doing.

Thank You that I know where to find You, that I CAN find You.

Thank You for being willing to touch me to make me clean.

Thank You for removing the obstacle between You and me.

Thank You for telling me to get up and go home.

    Thank You that I can.

Thank You that You have never forsaken those who seek You (Ps. 9:11).

Thank You - that You never will.

Happy Thanksgiving!!
