Did She Feel Completely Well? - Mark 1:29-34 Post 3

Chalkboard: Mark 1:29-34 Post 3
I've been sick a lot lately, and often the circumstances were such that I had to plod along in spite of low energy (low iron) and sometimes fever and dizziness.  So when I read this (Mark 1:29-34), I thought:  You healed her completely.  She was 100 percent better.  No lingering side effects, no lack of energy or weakness.  She gets up and begins to serve because she is completely

Taken For Granted? - Mark 1:29-34 Post 2

Chalkboard: Mark 1:29-34 Post 2
I'm still thinking about Simon's mother-in-law, and I was wondering:  Did the others take it for granted that she immediately started serving them as soon as her fever left her?  (Mark 1:29-34).

Why am I wondering this?  Well...(do I have to admit it?)

I do sometimes wonder if I'm appreciated, if what I do is...noticed.

When the Evening Comes - Mark 1:29-34 Post 1

Chalkboard: Mark 1:29-34 Post 1
She was unwell.  Her son-in-law (Simon Peter) and his brother (Andrew) brought guests, but she could not get out of bed.  She could not receive You and the others in whatever was the customary way.

When You healed her, she got up and served those who were with You there around her - at her house.  That included You (Mark 1:29-31).

Chalkboard: Mark 1:21-28 Post 2
"What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us?"(Mark 1:21-28).

It was the evil spirit crying out - so "us" meant "them" - evil spirits.  But the words came from a man's mouth, a man crying out "What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth?"

What DID You want with us
