Do I Miss God's Messengers to Me? - Mark 1:1-8 Post 6

Chalkboard: Mark 1:1-8 Post 6
John's call to prepare the way for Jesus, to make straight paths for You, does not stop being relevant in my life once I meet You (Mark 1:1-8). I need You to come in new ways, to places in my heart that I am still unaware of, to places in me that aren't completely introduced to You.  I want to know You in deeper ways.

My heart has a tendency to get hard.  I must always examine myself to see if the paths in my heart and life are "straight" for You - to see if the way is still "prepared" for You.  Have I let it get overgrown and rocky?

There are many "messengers" throughout my day to remind me - "make his paths straight" - if I will let them.

The Bible.  Friends.  Songs.  Books.  The bird on my windowsill - all cry out "prepare the way for the Lord," reminding me of You, preparing me to meet You in new and deeper ways.

Do I miss them and their message, and miss You?  Or do I let them be messengers for You in my life?  Do I let them help me to see You more clearly and fully?
